With products and new designs being created all of the time, it can be difficult to buck the trend and produce something which is truly innovative, but evidence has shown time and again how the more innovative a product is, the more successful it can become. Apple were, in many ways, following Microsoft and their tech development for decades, until Steve Jobs re-entered the company and brought in the Ipod, the Iphone, and the Ipad. These innovations ultimately became some of the most successful products of all time, and that was because they innovated.

Innovating is a difficult process, which depends heavily upon a new idea. Because so many people are trying to come up with new ideas, innovating is a lot more difficult than you might expect, but it is the goal of any product designer in the world, to be able to say that they are an innovator.
